This body of work is a fusion of my passions: art, architecture, and language.  My gurus are Picasso, Pollock, Leonardo da Vinci, Frank Lloyd Wright, Wayne Dyer, Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, and Charles and Ray Eames, among others.  I don't speak Mandarin.  I do speak a
tiny bit of Spanish and vaguely recollect taking some French in college. 

So, why did I choose Mandarin?

To me, the symbols themselves are art.  I see these symbols as a perfect reflection of the
beautiful simplicity of the Asian culture.  Simplicity is enlightening.

It is said that good art doesn't match your couch; however, I think these pieces will work very wellwith your couch and a glass of wine.  It is my intention and hope that this work will calm and simplify your life, even if only for the moment you are looking at it.
